5 ways to scale through when all hope seem to be lost
There are moments when dark time will arise, the road may not seem straight every moment, you may sometimes feel like giving up but there will always be hope. We would go through many trials, its just a matter of time, whether family financial, relationship or anything else, there are many times you will feel like all hope is lost. Where do you turn to during the period of trial? What do you do when all of your hopes are seemingly gone?
This is something that I go through too. There are times or moments where I just feel so hopeless and down thinking if there is a way out. Of course, I know that there is still hope. I know that God loves me nonetheless, that it's not the end, but sometimes the feeling is just inevitable.
One tragedy is to loose hope in yourself, in life or in situations happening around you. When there is life, there is hope. To every problem, there is a solution or a way out of it and it’s entirely possible to get out of a hopeless situation.
What do I do:
1. Two are better than one principle (Lifting by right association): Surrounding yourself with people that can lift you and not demean you. I have discovered that when I feel this way, it's good to not be alone. Isolation often has a damaging effect. You have thoughts of despair that you otherwise would not have which could result in other complicating situation. You could confile in a friend or meet a counselor. Knowing that you are surrounded by safe people or in safe hands, that you are with people who care about you and loves you could be a very effective way of avoiding despair. Having a solid, association support system during times of hopelessness can make a very large difference.
2. Nurture your belief: Build your belief system. Its in two fold. Belief is one of the cornerstones of our life. What we believe shapes who we are. To create positivity during a dark period of your life when all hope seems gone, you have to believe that the season will pass and that you are destined for greater things. No matter what happens, never allow it change your true identity, not even the past or the present occurrence. I have focused on the belief that my current circumstances will change because I am cultivating the proper beliefs that I an born for greatness and i can and would achieve that, no matter what happens or the situation at hand or what anyone else may think about me. Concentrate on the present and cultivate daily habits and actions that will help get you back on track. Creating positive thoughts and living in a positive way can only equate to positive result.
3. Take a pause and think: During seasons when all hope seems lost, your mind becomes even busier than usual. Your head fills with destructive thoughts and critic voices that have the energy and power to destroy your life no matter how far you have gone. Its best you don't allow those destructive voices and thoughts overwhelm you but you allow the positive one take the upper hand. Meditation is the number one way to calm your mind so that it can be a breeding ground for new, positive thoughts. Through meditation great ideas are gotten that would help you or lead you out of the storm.
4. Talk to God: There is one person that I know that can bring hope to the hopeless and He is the person of Jesus. Talk to God in prayer. He brings solution to the situation and lead you through the process and out of it. Even when it seems that no one is there for you, God is always there with you. When going through times of hopelessness always remember that God loves you so much that He died for you, and saved you from a fiery eternity. He would always be there to scale you through those seasons of trials. Yes, there are times of hopelessness but God is every ready to protect us and see us through.
